Simon Ying

Educated in Hong Kong and Australia, Simon landed his first job as assistant to the Chairman of a locally listed blue-chip group. In addition to translating all sorts of commercial, financial, legal and public service documents, Simon also wrote his boss’s correspondence. He later moved to a general management role in a catering group, overseeing all aspects of corporate communications, advertising and marketing.

Prior to setting up China LSP Ltd in 2004, Simon also taught business studies at a local university and was a partner in another language service company. Despite the way today’s internet-based sweatshop market is slowly destroying the profession he loves, Simon’s passion for language services remains undimmed.

Simon earned an MBA from Australia’s Queensland University of Technology and qualified from the University of Hong Kong with a B Soc. Sc.
